The company was created in 2002 to fill a perceived void in the security industry. Co-founders Michael Mancusi, Jason Paglino, and Charles Tramontana believed that by utilizing their combined 45 years of law enforcement experience, they could re-invent the way security services were provided to community businesses and other local establishments. A key element missing from many security companies today is the personal involvement of the company's management team. The management team at Maximum Security prides itself with their ability to make themselves assessable to clients, listen to their needs and make company decisions that attend to these needs. This, coupled with their working knowledge of local criminal activity, and their recruitment of dedicated professionals, enables corporate executives to provide a high-end security service that communicates to the client that they are dealing with individuals who are truly concerned with their safety and well-being.
Due to this unique relationship with its customers, Maximum Security has been able to achieve fast-paced growth solely through clients' word-of-mouth. This economic growth has enabled Maximum Security to contribute to the local job market by providing stable employment opportunities. Recruiting efforts have lead to employment of local college students seeking real-world experience to support their pursuit of a career in criminal justice/security, retirees who enjoy public service and want to remain connected to the workforce, individuals interested in additional income, and individuals looking for full time employment.
Economic success has also enabled Maximum Security to donate guard/patrol services to organizations running special events. OHEKA Castle utilized volunteer guards to maintain general security at a benefit for the Elena Melius foundation, a foundation that raises money for various charities. Guard services were donated to protect equipment at the Huntington Chamber of Commerce annual fall festival in Huntington Village . A guard to provide security and crowd control for a wake was donated to the family of a child whose death was nationally recognized. Also, as many companies have done in the wake of a world-wide disaster, funds were provided to The Red Cross for Tsunami disaster relief.
Community security has been achieved through daily operations of company business. For example, in 2004, Maximum Security worked with local police and the FBI to prevent domestic terrorist attacks by extremist animal rights activists against a local pharmaceutical company and its corporate executives. These activists have been known to cause property damage, disrupt business and attempt to intimidate people to further their cause. Maximum Security guards were deployed at each facility as well as executive residences to control protestors and protect the property, occupants and their surrounding neighbors. Employees performed in an exemplary manner and averted what could have been a very serious threat. The final result was that business continued without disruption, property remained safeguarded, and more importantly, peace of mind was restored for employees.
One of the biggest successes achieved by Maximum Security was the March 2005 apprehension of two persons suspected of numerous burglaries in the Dix Hills area. The suspects were known to target high-end residences, causing property damage and theft of personal belongings as well as instilling a sense of fear among community members. Utilizing patrol and surveillance techniques, a Maximum Security guard thwarted an attempted break-in at a residence in a client's gated community. The guard notified the police, and when the two men fled the scene he followed them in the patrol vehicle, giving updates of the suspect's location. Because of the actions of this guard, police were able to apprehend the suspects. For more info see our “In The News” tab on our home page.
The management team at Maximum Security has taken an idea and turned it into a rapidly growing company that has strong ties to the community and provides a very valuable service. The company has been successful in contributing to the safety and security of all members of the local community, not just its clients.
